ETA: My main not-programmery stuff winds up being mostly visual. I’m used to the annoyance images-just-for-OP causes on Reddit. It really limits discussion. :(

It’s frustrating to see drastic technical means employed to not-really-solve-just-make-less-visible what’s really a social problem. And they have a staffed community manager, so not sure why “ixnay on the imageay acromay” finger shaking a few times wouldn’t suffice. But I do know very well what omitting first-class images in replies costs.
