They do get some say about features tied to their network. Carrier Settings Updates roll out now and again. The most user-visible thing I know of that controlling is tethering / Personal Hotspot.

Re: too small. I would find SE screen size claustrophobic by now. I grabbed the first Plus model three years ago and am still using it now. Swapped battery myself last week.

But one thing you may not know is an option is some of the UI settings on iOS to make the UI easier to see. I am a fan of tweaking display and accessibility settings to bump up control and text size a bit. There’s Display Zoom (weird name - notches up control sizes) and a Text Size slider that lets you play with that separately.

Interesting, thanks!

Probably :,d and :%d both work as well and are about as many key strokes?

Oops. Mine is getting older so battery is not so good. Or maybe upping my activity some is reducing hours from a charge. Either way, I’ve had to get better about charging it. It’s still worth it to me.

Interesting! TIL. Looks like I’ve been dodging that fun wrinkle due to throwing income at tax-sheltered things like medical FSA contributions. Gonna keep an eye out though. Thanks for the heads-up!

Hmm. I have never noticed this effect, but it seems I probably should have. Gonna have to investigate when I get a chance.

The Fitbit One (the pocket one) has worked well for me for years. Their Zip or whatever would be even more hands off - runs for like a year on a watch battery.

Oh fun! Added alongside Linotte and Qlb in my mental file. :)

I use only Notability. I also just use it for PDF reading and markup. So completely ignoring its note-taking facilities.

The frustrating thing for me about Notability is that, on iPhone, it’s missing features - no page overview, and can’t add a page anywhere to write your own intro to the PDF you imported. :(
