@matigo In a sense all investing is betting. But it doesn’t employ any of the betting-style payout schemes. Even futures are just contracts to let you maybe exercise an option at an agreed price. Getting that agreement will cost you more or less, of course.
@jussipekonen That sounds pretty unbeatable, yeah. Mic drop and move on I guess. ;)
@indigo Yeah. Good contrast with cooking. More time, but far less often. And a better comparison with code than cooking for that reason.
It’s the journaling app talk that got me thinking this, because it’s not a technically complex thing. It’s the sorta thing you ought to be able to knock together a starting point out of tools sitting around on your system and then grow from there in the ways you care about.

Can’t shake the feeling the explosion of “apps” is pointing the finger at the failure to provide usable computing power to people.
It’s like if there were tons of restaurants and delivery services because people can’t cook for th—— Oh. Yeah. ?
@jussipekonen That’s a cool Club idea! And lucky kids. :) I am 32 and still haven’t had a chance to see a ballet or opera. Hoping to see The Nutcracker one Christmas, but very small children are a bad match.
