@larand That book came up a lot in Esperanto stuff. :) I used to read mailing lists in Esperanto. Could find short stories and general discussion.

@caff I'd expect significant reading speed and comprehension increases between six months and two years.
I like picking out a book I want to read in the language, then revisiting the book periodically to see what sense I can make of it then. Provides a very personal measure of progress, and a reward when you unlock comfortable-enough reading fluency.
