@streakmachine Also odd since Netflix on mobile and Kindle Fire also has offline playback.
@variablepulserate It’s proven a great way to learn by osmosis. But I started because, although the system is elegant and amazingly lineal (doesn’t creep far off the line - this is unusual for shorthands), it never got a fair shake. So I can at least try to fix that last part.
@variablepulserate That’s mostly been my approach. I’m most of the way through transcribing https://current.shorthand.fun/manual/orthographic and it’s all been done on my phone.
@matigo I thought they were just one of the many days of eternal leafblowing. If it’s not one house, it’s another…
@variablepulserate Now I wonder if it could get past App Store review, if I just hid the non-functional Upload Image button. 🤔

@variablepulserate It didn’t slip - autorenewed. But I then had to make and install a new build signed with the unexpired cert before iOS would allow the code to run; that permission is baked into the compiled app.
I haven’t published any apps myself, so my dev cert is just for my noodling around. I have done a fair number of apps in other companies’ names, some of which are still in the App Store today, as part of my work at https://www.bignerdranch.com, where I’ve worked since October 2008.
Finally got a new build of Macchiato on my phone after my dev cert renewed. Should work for another year. Its origin was as a way for me personally to interact with 10C, and so it has become again in the end.
@matigo my home office moved to the attic after the kid started tossing toys at me to get my attention. Now even more necessary with the volume levels of three kids. I miss my window views still.
