FWIW there are free dynamic DNS services out there. IIRC I'm using Hurricane Electric's for one machine in my house.

Often consumer routers bake in support for notifying DynDNS providers of IP changes, even. (Both my new one and my 6-year-old one had that, I noticed recently.)

(I also bailed on doing that once and ran a custom Jabber bot that would hit whatismyip when asked and reply with it to me. Reinvented DNS poorly? ✅ But DNS scares me way more than chat, so.)

Now you've got me curious. Sounds like someone made it easy for someone else to do the work of sorting out jails/chroot/firewall rules needed to isolate a process without futzing with containers from your discussion.

//

Oh wow. That is not how 1:1s are supposed to work. >.<

getlighthouse.com is pretty decent for managing and participating in 1:1s, but Yet Another Service.

I like your custom app style. You are iPadding it right. :)

Sounds like a SheevaPlug (more generally, a "plug computer") [en.m.wikipedia.org] with saner package management.

//

Ah, sounds subtle.

I figured user error when one person did it, time to ask you when two in a short time period. :)

Thanks for investigating! Sorry for the wild goose chase.

Good goad for me to add a card for "support search", this. :)

No rush. Sleep well!

If there were a 10c-dev-announce blog/blurber, I'd follow it in a heartbeat. ;)

Oh hey, I didn't even know those updates existed!

I figure the thread issue is probably my fault, because the full thread displays on 10C Web, just not for me. So probably not the mysterious thread breaks you mentioned there. I was mostly looking for a sanity check on the URL and params. :)

Here's my tracking issue: Look at this on GitLab Control glc://projects/1869028/issues/3981483
(https://gitlab.com/jeremy-w/macchiato/issues/28)

Confirmed working without code change in Macchiato. Like magic! ✨
