Does the API have a way to easily grab a whole thread-tree beneath a root post? (I'm reading the docs, and the post example doesn't have any thread attached.)

I'm all iOS. Flirted with the idea of Android recently, but I have even less trust for the OS and manufacturers than I do iOS and iPhone. Toss in needing to redo all my workflows, and it wasn't worth switching. I still have an unrequited soft spot for Windows Phone, but I am happy to continue to leave that unsullied by real-world experience. ;)

This place is hopping now. I need a stream-marker–friendly client for my phone.

Nice! I thought of AWK as well for its ability to pick out rows to transform with its /predicate/ { actions } structure. Makes it useful to replace grep and sed at times.

cut, comm, sort, uniq, col, and a few others are underused text wrangling tools, so, a good find!

I mostly use it by way of the weekly summary emails. Just enough Twitter with my current following list as seed. ;)

Wow, nuked ADN post, too. All trace is gone. But looks like "make the mentions stop" was on his mind recently: https://mobile.twitter.com/mattgemmell/status/783382020273672192

I suspect it made email and Twitter unpleasant. But, yeah.

Glad you grabbed it. I ran into it linked on ADN and then later by MJTsai. I wonder if he pulled simply due to lack of interest in arguing over it. IIUC he wants to write, not wrestle tech BS, these days.

Looks more professional, though less gleeful, than the first edition.

Pretty much, yeah. Down to a trickle.
