@dgold I feel like US politics makes a lot more sense if you mentally translate to "Red Team" and "Blue Team". Often, they don't stand for much other than that they aren't the other team at this point.

@larand And note that the ] has to be butt up against the ( with no intervening space, in case you happen to see a linebreak between them as I did.

@c Huh. Showers here just tap off the house-wide hot water system. Sounds like you were choosing between two different ways of specifically heating the shower though?
// @peemee @kdfrawg @literary @jasonechols
@c Yeah, that's where I'm confused - why the loss in mains pressure en route to the shower necessitating a pump? Or was the pump an upgrade to deal with low pressure or something?
// @peemee @kdfrawg @literary @jasonechols
@c So you lose mains pressure due to the use of the circulating pump in the boiler?
(I'm weak in plumbing; mostly just know electric.)

Worked late yesterday to finish up a whirlwind one-week audit and estimate. Ended up with 14.5 pages of write-up.
One before that was three weeks long and ended up 27 pages, and that one didn't have me poking at Bluetooth LE, hardware integration, and weird APIs where I only found docs in Mandarin till Friday eve. Been a crazy week.
Worst part was I didn't even address 90% of the stuff I'd normally cover in detail. Kind of grateful it was only one week, or I would have been doing so much more writing.
Hope to have Monday morning for an editing pass, but, whatever. It's surely good enough.
@c Nope. Those have been going on for a while now. I'm not clear on the difference, but she's done this once before and not one to cry wolf, so I take her at her word. :)

@tomas Freedom of speech applies to government restraint of speech, not private. They should find a new weird way to misunderstand conservatism.
@c You must have a different sort of system than I'm used to. I've never run into pumps for supply, only for drainage (sump pump, condensation pump) where gravity was not your friend.
I have a hot water tank. It happens to be gas powered, but if not, that would just mean a power outage would affect its ability to keep it heated and replace used hot water. It's inline with the supply, so pressurized, which is good, because it's in the basement underneath the ground floor and attic. It heats what it holds. Using hot water draws from the hot lines piped from it, and fresh water flows in, and if the temperature drops enough, it picks up heating some more. It's not tankless so not super powerful - expectation is you never drain the tank in use, and it has time to heat at its leisure after, so it's sized accordingly.
How's your system set up? Is it unpressurized well water as supply?

@indigo Hahah. No clue! It's definitely weird - feels like we're on borrowed time. Might even have had a couple contractions last night, but nothing now - could go on like that for days. (I'm sure it does wonders for sleep quality.)
Making tiny humans is weird.
