@c I think Zoë is a case of English using a diaeresis to signal a syllable start. Shows up otherwise mostly as an alternative to hyphenation with something like coöperate. But very rare.

@matigo Nah. WinPhone fizzled. I was hoping I'd have an excuse to play with it and Visual Studio, but they messed that up good. I actually liked what I saw of Win 8, as long as it didn't drop me back in the uninspired desktop of Win95…
