FUD. Lots of could, could, could.

Their concerns are ultimately about corporate citizenship and longevity. Only they feel more personally threatened by AI, so it finally got their hackles up.

They should have been opposing all this corporate citizenship rubbish for the last decade, not waiting for AI to spook them.

@larand Yup, my thinking as well. I grew up with tests on radio. Never watch radio or TV now, so I’m glad there’s a way to reach me before I find out the hard way that things go boom.

We’re looking to shift kid gifts from things to experiences. Otherwise the crud just piles up, and doesn’t do anyone much good. Also hoping to steer them away from viewing accumulation as a good in itself.
