@gtwilson Easy to forget with those nice accompaniments!
@matigo They’re kept exactly as you describe wishing they’d be kept. The ugly strings come of various approaches to handling updates and trust in that distributed environment.
Tor seems to run into similar human-unfriendly addressing issues. :\

@matigo Me neither. All my doings tend to be pretty far from the OS layer. I keep meaning to poke at seL4, though.

@matigo Like Freenet? https://bluishcoder.co.nz/2014/12/18/using-freenet.html
/@ukhaiku
@gtwilson I just feed them to my Amazon account and they disappear in parts, sundries, books, …
@streakmachine Completely arbitrary border, check.
Here the common categories (on forms, surveys, censuses) are black, white/Caucasian, Asian, Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Native American, Other, and I’d Rather Not Answer Kthxbai. Then they mix in Hispanic/Latino as another layer on top of that (Black Hispanic, White Hispanic, …).
@matigo AFAIK it just keeps trucking. Keeping the dream of Be and C++ GUI dev alive.

@matigo Yeah. They broke me of that. Now 11:30 pm is “oh it’s late, I better get to sleep”. Vs 3:30 am or so before kids.
@matigo They do that. I’m on a more morning schedule than I’ve been since I was a lad myself. It’s unnatural, but honestly kinda convenient for business hours.
