I have really awful eyesight (nearsighted and astigmatic) and really awesome contact lenses. ;) Modern optometry is amazing stuff.

@kdfrawg Yeah. That'll probably lead to really ugly text rendering, since it'll push the line height way up for any kind including the large emoji. :\

I think the macOS and iOS accessibility tool for this is a mix of bumping dynamic text size up and using screen zoom when added detail is needed. Doesn't sound super fun to use.

Looks like it needs smarting up to handle mentions of renamed users. Good to have a Guinea pig. :)

Now I'm imagining an Android app where it just has Geocities-style "Under Construction" animated gifs on all the tabs. ;)

That…actually sounds kinda awesome, to be honest.

Yup: https://mosh.org/ (used to be mosh.mit.edu)

I've had a connection with it, closed up my laptop, gone from work to home, opened it back up, and been still connected. It's pretty nifty. It also feels more responsive due to the local echo, especially over a slow connection.

It does require you run a mosh server on the host, though, so it's no help on machines where you can't do that.

Looks like the Mentions record properly records the mention, but the content.html doesn't mark up the mention as such, so it doesn't display highlighted like normal.

I take it the HTML is built dynamically when requested, vs "cooked" when the post is first sent?

And 10g ethernet pushes it once again past anything you can even dream of with wireless.

/me really needs to learn how to terminate ethernet and figure out a good way to fish it upstairs.

Are the logs getting sent anywhere off-server, where you could review them post mortem?

Looks like 10C is reproducing the ADN & Pnut app ecosystem dynamic: several good options for iOS, nothing doing for Android.
