been a while since I played with a db. Wonder what “AS timestamp” might do for you.

I’m about to find myself with a SQL Server, and I’ve never had the pleasure before. Is there a good rundown of cool things not to miss that jumps to mind for you? Or of gotchas to beware?

app unblocks push & more exclusive engagement. Sometimes it brings features not doable in web, but the ones with those don’t generally feel the need to get pushy, so mostly it seems to be crapware.

huh, i thought the default output format was a nice ISO datetime? https://www.postgresql.org/docs/12/datatype-datetime.html#DATATYPE-DATETIME-OUTPUT

yeah. i'm basically never at a laptop outside work any more. if i'd automated the release process more, maybe it'd be different. but even automated TestFlight releases are slow (as computer things go).

it started life as a client for me to read 10C posts, and i guess that's what it's going back to. i might publicize the code; it's not great, but not horrible, either, and the markdown stuff was kinda fun.

gotta love this line:

a higher likelihood of teenagers engaging in criminal activity if they’re unable to participate in sports and extracurricular activities.

“Well, I can’t play soccer, so I guess it’s on to option two: looting and pillaging.”

Ooh dragon-drop is fun. Other ones I’ve run into:

  • Pythong
  • cow-orker
  • Rubby

Spoken only:

  • Squeal (for SQL)
  • Jiggle (for JQL)
  • , yo (for .io addresses)

Oh, hah! I don’t use the site that much apparently. 😄
