If you want to share what’s on your phone/tablet screen from your Mac, the usual trick is to launch QuickTime, start a new screen recording, configure it to record the attached device’s screen, and then share the preview of that screen without ever telling it to start recording.

I just wish Apple made a decent not-laptop that could actually cool itself at this point. Scarcely need the portability of an actual laptop any more. The only thing I’d miss is TouchID. (I guess Watch Proximity is Apple’s answer for TouchID without a laptop, but I’ve no Apple Watch yet.)
