@nitinkhanna I haven’t run into that, but it sure sounds annoying. OTOH, for sites where I have previously chosen to log in with Google or similar, I do wish they’d remember for me. Or that 1Password had some way to remember for me …

@sumudu If you want to share what’s on your phone/tablet screen from your Mac, the usual trick is to launch QuickTime, start a new screen recording, configure it to record the attached device’s screen, and then share the preview of that screen without ever telling it to start recording.

@matigo That’s always been the most striking thing for me when reading 1970s and 1980s computer books: to find they were struggling then with the same things as we are now, sometimes in the same terms even.
@matigo I just wish Apple made a decent not-laptop that could actually cool itself at this point. Scarcely need the portability of an actual laptop any more. The only thing I’d miss is TouchID. (I guess Watch Proximity is Apple’s answer for TouchID without a laptop, but I’ve no Apple Watch yet.)

Apple’s ancient bash also lacked associative arrays and autocd iirc.
