I think the threading API right now is just fine. It's the iPhone interface I'm struggling with - how to represent a post forest without losing the maximum-use-of-space that a tabular, flat timeline presentation gives.

I say "think" because, until I figure out the data visualization bit, I can't even see if I'm missing anything. :)

So not the locally-grown, sustainably harvested variety, then. Snap!

@kdfrawg Lots yet to do. I'm totally ignoring the "fetch more than a single page of posts" case right now. And fetching new posts is 100% manual. And I haven't sorted out a good way to visualize threads; currently I just take advantage of having both post ID, reply-to ID, and thread ID in the post footer to manually cross-reference. Very much in the "workable but with lots of rough edges" spirit it has right now. ;)

But I can use it during the week to pop in and see what's going on, which is what I wanted to have a while back. It's made it easy for me to be a lot more present here.

There are 9 Nozomi pics? The Private tab is currently the cute puppy photo slot machine arm. :D

Political bullcrap, or "App Store Fertilizer".

Hey, pinning works for me in Cappuccino again, too! Yay!

Macchiato today:

  • Wired up remaining post actions to endpoints
  • Added Starred and Private to top-level streams list
  • Began prefilling name of person you're replying to in reply post text
  • Swiched to Twitter-style keyboard for writing posts (has the @ key
    readily accessible)

  • Not the best fit, as it trades @ for Return.

  • Adding a keyboard accessory view with @ would probably be better.
  • Purchased dev program membership. Can take a couple days to activate, though.
  • Currently showing as "Pending…" when I log into my account with Apple.

Now it'll probably be till next weekend before anything new happens. Step by step…

I'm now an Apple Developer program member in my own right!

TIL Apple adds tax on top of the invisible rights you purchase with your membership. I guess I thought of it more like a library card or school enrollment than something you toss in a shopping cart and check out with.

@skematica Sounds like I need to sign up for that personal dev account and do the needful to get into TestFlight. :)

@kdfrawg And you have a nice Mercedes to do it in, and an impending Pennsylvania winter to escape. I'm not seeing the problem here. :-)
