@matigo That worsens. Limiting the toys in play at a given time helps some (“you can’t have X and Y out at the same time; you want Y, then clean up X and we’ll swap ‘em”). Making it easy for them to clean up helps some (“just pitch everything in these bins”). Corralling the explosion to a small room helps a lot (but is very dependent on your floor plan - doesn’t work for me).
@matigo Ah yes, the other sugars. Enjoy HFCS, sucrose, fructose, and lactose, the key food groups. Add caffeine, salt, and alcohol to round out your day’s consumption.

@phoneboy Every time I grocery shop, I wonder how it is we came to regard eating a big bowl of candy as a normal, healthy breakfast for anyone, never mind kids.
@gtwilson Those are gonna feel like some long hours.
I’ve got childcare, swapping out a ceiling fan, and helping hang molding waiting for me on the far side of my last workday on my current project before starting a new one (really, going back to a different part of my prior project) on Monday.
@hazardwarning That’s good to hear. Sometimes I’m on the fence about saying something formulaic or just scrolling by. But at that point it’s less important what people say than that they say something to signal virtual presence and recognition.
/@matigo
@matigo Yeah, that can be touchy. But I’m pretty sure “how do I respond to tragedy with compassion?” is not the question that’s stopping conversation in most of the tech-tweet world. ;)

@peemee The PowerBooks were good workhorses. The 15-inch had some noticeable horizontal flex when used in the lap. And also got darn hot at times. But the keyboard and trackpad just kept trucking without any problems.
/@streakmachine
@matigo I try to roust myself from just hitting the Heart button to actually say something in reply to the tweets that meant something to me. I feel like there’d be a lot more said without those conversational dead-end buttons around. :\
