@js Wonder if it’s a mobi vs ePub (or wth Apple Books’ native format) difference is. I bet @gtwilson could give us an earful on the way the different readers handle ePub. :)
@larand I wouldn’t sweat it. Email addresses aren’t secret, as you say, just often obscure.
