In Firefox, Chrome, and Vivaldi on my Mac, I use Shift-Cmd-t to reopen the last closed tab. Safari decided to use Cmd-z. I haven’t thought to try Cmd-z in the others as my mental model isn’t “undo last action” but expressly “reopen that tab”.

Waiting till it’s awful has been my MO as well, but my doctor advised to try to nip them in the bud instead, so I’m giving that a shot for a change. Seems to lead to less suffering overall. But headaches are a diverse and obnoxious beast.

Haven’t run into that before. Should be fun. :)

IRC security is kind of a mess, DCC is awful, and NickServ is an awful hack. If Jabber multi-user chatrooms were better, that might fix most of IRC’s awful, but they’ve been atrocious IME.

Which UNIX book? If it’s Lions’ Commentary, you are in for a good time. :)
